DELFT ISLAND

After getting to know that there are wild horses on Delft Island from a TV show, I always wanted to photograph them. When we planned a trip to Jaffna, I convinced everyone to join a detour to Delft Island. But no one believed that there are wild horses when I told them. We started our boat ride from Kurikadduwan Jetty. We arranged a jeep driver to tour the island. From the moment we started our tour, all the people who came on the journey made fun of me saying that there are no wild horses. After visiting a few historical sites, along the journey, I spotted a few wild horses from a distance. Then I started my move towards them. At first, they acted uncomfortable. By the time they settled with the presence of me. I got the opportunity to grab some nice images of them. In addition, we spotted some amazing birdlife along the tour of the island.
